Hellasgården helps you as a sports teacher to carry out the school orientation

Hellasgården has a team of skilled orienteers who will help you as a PE teacher to organise orienteering days for school classes.

Many PE teachers find that school orientation can take up a lot of time and energy.

Time and energy that could perhaps be better spent.

Hellasgården has a team of skilled orienteers with experience in organising orienteering events for primary and secondary schools.

We are happy to help you as a sports teacher. We can organise a complete event or help you with certain aspects, such as planning the courses or setting out and taking in.

We will help you with:

Complete school orientation with planning of courses of appropriate difficulty, map prints, plastic cases and more.

We have all the materials needed and hang out and bring in the controls before and after the school orientation.

You can choose to use digital timing, sportident. We then have staff on site during the school orientation who handle all registration.

All pupils can borrow a sports badge to take with them on the course.

As a teacher, you will receive a detailed results file at the end of the day, which can be used as a basis for grading.

An alternative to sportident is to use classic pin clips. In this case, there is no need for staff on site, and you as a teacher can check that the students have visited the checkpoints yourself.

As a teacher, you will receive a certificate from us.

If you wish, you can also order starting cards for your students to take with them on the course.

Maybe you want to hang out and collect cheques yourself, but want help planning orienteering courses at the right level of difficulty, ordering printed maps and plastic cases.

Or you may already have maps, and want help with implementation.

We can also hold simple briefings with students, going over the colours and main features of the map, as well as how to easily fit the map, with or without a compass.

We conduct the vast majority of school orientations in Hellasgården and the surrounding area, but also take on assignments to help schools in Stockholm and neighbouring municipalities on maps that the school itself chooses.
