Sauna in Stockholm with lake bathing and fitness centre
The picture is from the new pond. Below you can read more about how it came to be and why.
Keep calm and respect that your sauna neighbour has come for a quiet moment
The sauna here at Hellasgården in Nacka, Stockholm, is a place for recovery and recreation. Please respect that many of our guests come for these very reasons.
Sauna bath with colleagues? See our suggestions for slightly different conference packages!
We expect you as a guest to be considerate of other guests in order to achieve an optimal environment with minimum strain on the facility and maximum consideration for other guests.
New sauna and bathing arrangements from 19 August
To prevent the facility from becoming overcrowded at times, we are introducing a new way of booking and visiting the sauna centre.
This applies from 19 August until further notice and means that visiting hours are limited to the following:
Weekdays:
8:45-10:15
10.30-12:00
12:15-13:45
14:00-15:30
15:45-17:15
17:30-19:00 (not during infusion)
19:15-20:45 (not during infusion)
Weekends:
9:15-10:45
11:00-12:30
12:45-14:15
14:30-16:00
16:15-17:45
Book online
You book your visit online, and choose one of the available start times.
If you want to stay longer than 90 minutes, please note that you will need to make two separate bookings with consecutive start times.
Check in
You check in at reception by mentioning your name to the staff. You will be let into the changing room when your start time begins. If you are late for your start time, you can still check in, but your visit will be shorter.
Check-out
To avoid overcrowding, you should be changed and ready and leave the centre at the agreed time indicated on your booking. For example, you have booked a visit with a start time of 10:30 and you leave the centre at 12:00 at the latest. This applies even if you happen to be late for your check-in.
To help you keep track of time, we have clocks in the shower rooms. In addition, staff ring a bell when 15 minutes remain in a visit.
(Guests who do not respect the check-out time may be prevented from future visits by the facility operator).
If you have an annual pass, you can book two consecutive times
If you have an annual pass and want to stay in the centre longer than one visit entitles you to, you can easily book two consecutive times. Of course, you don't have to leave the centre between the times when other guests do.
Drop-in possible on weekday mornings
On weekdays until 13:00, drop-in visits are possible subject to availability and starting times, read more under check-in above. However, we recommend that you pre-book these times as well.
You can of course start your drop-in visit at any time, subject to availability. But to be able to use the facility for a maximum of 90 minutes, you must start your visit at one of our fixed start times. If you start later, your visit will be shorter. Perhaps it is better to wait for the next start time with a walk in the surroundings or a visit to the Sjöcafé?
Number of contemporary guests
The maximum number of simultaneous visitors is 22 ladies and 22 gentlemen and a visit is 90 minutes. We have made the judgement that this is a reasonable maximum number of visitors and a reasonable length of visit in light of the size of the sauna and how an average sauna visit takes place.
During the times we use mixed saunas, the maximum number is reduced to 17. The number is based on an estimate of how much the mixed sauna form affects the occupancy of the men's sauna.
How to reschedule your appointment
Your entrance ticket can be rebooked to another day (only online and no later than 6 hours before your intended arrival) if you have chosen a rebooking guarantee in connection with the booking, a rebooking guarantee costs SEK 20/person. NOTE! If you have a group booking, it is not possible to rebook for any of them, but you rebook for the entire booking. Therefore, you should have a rebooking guarantee for all people in the same booking.
Here's how to rebook:
Click on the Change (the text in blue colour for good visibility, no later than 6 hours before your planned arrival) in the receipt that you received from us by email when you made the booking.
If it's been a long time since you booked, search "Hellasgården" in your email and you will find the confirmation.
Then choose a new time for your visit.
However, your entrance ticket cannot be cancelled.
If you book when less than two hours remain until closing time...
We usually close at 9pm on weekdays. If you book a visit starting later than 19:00, you must still be out of the facility when we close, so your visit will be less than two hours.
Respect the calm on Thursdays!
We have different themes and activities, such as aufguss on Wednesday evenings and quiet evenings on Thursday evenings. Some guests come to us on Thursdays for the sole purpose of having a moment of peace, quiet and silence. Please respect this. If you would like to socialise with your friends, please book a different time.
NOTE! Quiet Thursdays are cancelled until October when the autumn darkness falls.
Together we keep things clean and tidy
You as a guest and we as operators also have a shared responsibility to ensure that the facility is clean and tidy - we have recycling bins for plastic, paper, pet and other items in the changing rooms - and that unnecessary congestion is avoided.
Forgotten things
Forgotten items are kept outside for two weeks. Staff cannot go through all forgotten belongings, so if you have forgotten something you are encouraged to look for it yourself. You do not need to call/email us beforehand.
